SILVER at the GABS Can Design Awards 2023!
Brick Lane Brewing’s Trilogy Of Fear range has cracked the top 10 of the GABS Can Design Awards for the third year in a row!
Last Train Home Oud Imperial Stout took out SILVER on the podium, our highest spot yet. According to the judges “Excellent concept and love the use of thermochromic inks to aid design and function. If it’s anything craft beer drinkers care about when enjoying a dark beer, it’s temperature. Nailed it.”
Each year, the Trilogy Of Fear range grows larger, darker and more terrifying. To elevate the fear factor further this year, we decided to create thermochromic labels. These labels aim to capture the eeriness of a zombie apocalypse. A warm can of Last Train Home features a soul zombie staring at you from the bottom of the stairs as you rush to catch the last train to safety. As you chill the can, the air turns cold and a legion of zombies appears at the bottom of the stairs. Additionally, we sought to embody the flavour of Oud, known for its musky and animalistic characteristics, by incorporating the sensation of being trapped underground at the onset of an apocalypse.
Our very own Greg Hall worked in collaboration with Pete Johnson from Can I play to bring this year's Trilogy Of Fear range to life.
Congratulations to Temple Brewing for taking out gold with their beer, Hello, My Name Is Amber and Aether Brewing taking home bronze for All Australian Pale Ale.
