A Party For Melbourne

A Party For Melbourne

Three things Melbourne is renowned for is great food, great music and great craft beer. We are very proud to be a part of the Melbourne Food & Wine Festival's 'A Party For Melbourne' brought to you by Attica and The Avalanches.

Ben Shewry, chef and owner of award-winning Melbourne restaurant Attica, and Robbie Chater and Tony Di Blasi, founding members of ground-breaking Melbourne electronic music group The Avalanches are throwing a free virtual house party on Saturday 12 September 2020.

A Party for Melbourne was conceived by Ben and The Avalanches to bring joy and fun into the homes of anyone affected by the current COVID-19 lockdown in Victoria.

The virtual house party kicks off with a series of ‘How to Party’ videos from Ben including his tips on party food and how to turn your living room into a disco. On the night of 12 September, the party will kick off with a support set from DJ Soju Gang, followed by a set from The Avalanches.

Look out for the ‘How to Party’ videos a week prior to the main event on the Melbourne Food & Wine Festival’s website. Some of the recipes released ahead of the party include cheese and pineapple hedgehogs; better than sausage sausage rolls; and hectic prawn cocktails.

We are also putting together a special beer pack featuring our own Avalanche Hazy IPA and some other party treats.

Keep smiling Melbourne -  we are all here for each other. Put those dancing shoes on and enjoy the free event!
