A huge 3 weeks with Melbourne Food And Wine!
2022 marked the 30th anniversary of one of Victoria’s most beloved festivals, the Melbourne Food & Wine Festival.
After two years of postponing, we came in guns blazing and ready to celebrate.
The queen of the kitchen herself, Nigella Lawson, helped kick off the three-week-long flavour party at the infamous World’s Longest Lunch. Rockstar chef Ben Shewry from Attica treated our taste buds while we sipped back a few One Love Pale Ales under the beautiful shade of the Treasury Gardens trees.
Queen Victoria Market came to life with an array of events; we ate our weight in potatoes at Maximum Chips, partied like Tarzan while enjoying all-vegan delights at Welcome To The Jungle, slurped up cheesy pasta at The Big Spaghetti and let our taste buds travel the world at Snacktown.
We brought you the Crawl & Bite series, which saw over 400 guests eat and drink their way through 8 suburbs around Melbourne. Guests were greeted with a Brick Lane beer to start their journal through some of Melbourne’s most iconic bars and restaurants. Read more about this culinary adventure in our Crawl & Bite blog.
Melbourne Food and Wine wrapped things up in style with a festival celebrating the very best in the Victorian drinks scene, New Crush! New Crush is all about drinking Victorian and supporting our local producers, it was a wholesome end to an incredible three weeks.
If you had a chance to make it along to any of the events you may have come across our legendary team and their epic wheel! We hope you won big and left happy.
We already can’t wait to see what next year’s Melbourne Food And Wine Festival has installed for us. Until then, we will just be dreaming of Nigella Lawson saying microwave.
